here i wanna share some interesting (& amusing) facts n stuffs that i've found in my last taiwan trip.
1. There is this eatery alongside the famous tourist street in Jiu Fen, selling noodles & stuffs. i heard its famous for its beef noodles.
ok, here comes the interesting fact: they offer two types of beef noodles, namely i) niu rou mee tang NT40 & ii) niu rou mian NT80.
ok.. what the reason for the 50% price difference?? the NT80 have more beef inside?? or it is of a bigger share? haha, no no no..
the real difference is this. just like ur normal cup noodle....
the NT40 has no beef inside. (-____-" diaoz) beef noodle without beef....
2. Whenever u visit the toilets in Taiwan, be sure to rmb not to throw ur tissues/ toilet paper inside the toilet bowl. there will be one bin inside each cubicle where u can throw them in.
athou i noe its not ethical, i can't help but throw my tissues in the toilet bowl, one reason being i'm alrdy used to it, another being i simply can't stand the smell coming frm the bin. imagine throwing ur 'toilet paper wiped with shit' into the bin. dun u tink there will be some smell? (urghhh).
i tink its a matter of hygiene. whenever, u squat down over the bowl, ur nose will be practically touching the bin. (argghhh...........)
of cos, there are those sitting types of cubicle too. im jus stating an example.
i heard its bcos their toilets can't 'digest' all the rubbish, & it will clogged up as a result. so the ppl will have to dig n dig.. (Oops! alittle too disgusting eh..) hehex
